Environmental Acoustics

Environmental acoustics involves the measurement, assessment and analysis of both noise and vibration caused by external sources. Predicting the impacts of sources associated with transportation, industry and outdoor entertainment facilities can ensure that potential noise and vibration impacts and disturbances on external areas and inside buildings are mitigated in advance of the completed development. More stringent planning conditions imposed by local authorities lead to more noise control requirements.

PMK deals with all kinds of environmental noise and vibration problems using measurement and computer modeling techniques. These tools are used to undertake detailed assessments and facilitate the preparation of Environmental Impact Study and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, followed by the mitigation and resolution of adverse or significant impacts on the environment. Where required, additional assessments and reports are prepared for complying with different Green Building Rating Systems that require environmental noise control.
